EXCISE MINISTER FLAGGED OFF NEWLY RECRUITED EXCISE & NARCOTICS PERSONNEL FOR BASIC TRAINING COURSE

Aizawl, the 1st of September, 2025:

A formal flagged off ceremony was held by the Honourable Minister to the Government of Mizoram, Pu Lalnghinglova Hmar on '1st September at 10:30 AM' for induction training programme for 10 newly recruited Constables and 7 Sub-Inspectors under the Excise and Narcotics Department in the presence of Pu Vinod P. Kavle (IAS), Commr. & Secretary, GoM Excise & Narcotics Deptt., Govt. of Mizoram

The Hon’ble Excise Minister extended heartfelt congratulations to the newly appointed Constables and Sub-Inspectors on their successful selection, warmly welcoming them into the Excise Department. Addressing the recruits, the Minister underscored the vital role the Excise Department plays in both generating significant revenue for the State Government and maintaining law and order. He stressed the need for the officers to uphold the highest standards of integrity, discipline, and diligence, reminding them that their conduct and commitment directly impact public trust and state governance.

Describing the day as a milestone in their professional journey, the Hon’ble Minister highlighted the department’s expectations — that each officer contributes meaningfully to the state’s development, ensures public safety, and diligently enforces laws related to excise and narcotics control.
